On May 13, 2011 four men set out on a trip to Big Bear, California. Three of these men had grown mustaches and were excited about their trip to the mountain, it was a trip for real men, men with mustaches. These four guys decided during their embark up to the mountain that the only thing that could make Mustache May better than going to Big Bear with Mustaches would be to go to Big Bear with Mustaches and start writing the “Mustache Life” song and video. Recorded on May 16th, edited on May 19th and released on May 20th, you have “Mustache Life”.

Don Ash and Nikadermus are proud members of Mustache May and belong to a website called “Mustache May” whose actual URL is http://musmay.com/. Check out their profiles and become a member, join the cause and post your stache.

“4th of July” (the song)

4th of July is a promotional song that was made to create a music video to put on YouTube. The song incorporates an instrumental track to Nicki Minaj’s “Did It On ‘Em”. Don Ash lyrics are in-part, reconstructed from Katy Perry’s “Firework” song. The video’s link will be posted after it is complete. Also in performance in the song is Zacman (Zach Silver) and Bobby Williams.

For the video we chose three locations to shoot. We had it all set up to shoot the 2nd and 3rd of July but got held up due to our costumes for scene 3 not arriving until July 11th. On July 2, 2011 we shot the first scene at the Moap Travel Plaza, which is about 30 minutes north of Las Vegas. The staff there was very hospitible to us and we appreciate it greatly, thank you. In the video, Scene 1 is the scene we used to capture the fireworks during Moapa’s firework show. Scene 2 we shot on 6th Street, just south of Freemont in the beautiful Downtown area of Las Vegas. We got our permits and had right of way all night, or until 11:59pm. Scene 2 is the one with the storefront door behind us and we are all in the scene together. Scene 3, which is the one that held us up, is the one we required the body suits for. The talent for this scene got rearranged so that me, Don Ash, could direct and shoot the scene. In my place, Sovante Brooks took over. The scene is shot in my home made set in the garage at House of DON Productions and was definitely a fun scene to shoot. We hope you enjoy and pass the links on to your friends.

“The Jock Strap Man”

“The Jock Strap Man”. We use the beat from Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now”, the beat was produced by Diplo, Afrojack and Free School. The song will feature Don Ash and Zacman in a funny discription of how Don Ash think he looks so good, all he needs is a Jock Strap. Zacman follows up with a different take on how Don Ash looks, especially in this Jock Strap. We never got to shoot the video but we hope you enjoy the Teaser.
